˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Hi hi! My name is Python, and this my selfship blog. I am 18, please keep this in mind when interacting with me. I would prefer if no one under 16 followed me.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ I’d appreciate it if you read my carrd, it’ll have all the info you’ll need!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ I used to be active on this blog, and then it went dead for a while, and now I’m back as an anti-anti
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ If I spam like you that’s not me trying to be intimidating, that’s me really appreciating your content but being to nervous to say hi
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ I focus on familial selfships way more than I do my romantic ones, this is for trauma reasons and please do not tease me for this.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ The vast majority of my f/os are fictionkin-related. I have f/os from the most obscure sources imaginable. I have f/os that canonically died before the source media even started. It’s wild in here.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ My inbox is open and I love to make friends! As long as you respect the boundaries and stuff in my carrd, I do not mind talking if you ever wanna infodump about your ships! Sometimes I take a little while to respond to asks but I answer those eventually as well
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Anyway selfshippers are the hottest bitches on the planet fr fr

After the series, when all the dust and custody is cleared, the owl house parents realise they genere at least half a dozen kids in their house at any given moment.
Alador already has 3 kids so aside from a double take when a random teen raides his fridge he’s generally unphased.
The Parks are a little overwhelmed but glad that Willow has so many friends now.
Eda is occasionally just like “hello people who do not live here” but is also kind of used to it with the way she kinda just picks up strays nowadays.
Camila has long gotten used to having 6 kids around and has long since adapted.
Perry is a little overwhelmed since he’s going from being a single father of one kid with like 3 friends to having a house full of kids all at once. Camila gives him a lot of advice.
Darius is looking at all of these kids, including Hunter, and wondering how tf this happened.
Gus’ tears really got me. While everyone is still processing, he already came to terms where he realized that he’s no longer in The Boiling Isle. He’s worried about his home for sure but I think the first thing that came to his mind was his dad. Everyone in The Boiling Isle is doomed and Gus had no way of knowing if his dad was okay or not
dear non-spanish speakers writing spiderverse fanfiction (or anything with spanglish),
in spanglish you don’t switch by word, you switch by phrase.
it’s not:
“[first part of the sentence in english], [second part of the sentence in english], mi amor.”
“[full english sentence], querida.”
it’s:
“[first part of the sentence in english], [segunda parte de la frase en español], mi amor.”
-
also miles is boricua, miguel is mexican. they have two different accents and use different vocabulary for certain words.
also miles is “nyourican” - a puerto rican native to new york - while his mom is directly from the island, so there are differences there, too, because his spanish is more influence by new york english.
here’s some good references that aren’t google translate (which usually pulls from spain, a country that speaks vastly differently from latin america)
here have some random videos on different slang/spanish accents:
-
in spanish most words are gendered, so most feminine words end in a and masculine/gender neutral words end in o. adding ito/ita makes something cuter, smaller and more affectionate.
spanish nicknames that aren’t “mi amor”
- “querido/a” - darling
- “cariño” - dear (always masculine regardless, of who its being said to)
- “mi princesa/príncipe” - my prince/princess
- “mi rey/reina” - my king/queen
- “papí/mamí” - can be used in any way; romantic, sexual, familial for one’s parent or child, or just platonically
- “tesoro” - treasure
also spanish is a language that uses adjectives as terms of affection both cute ones and ones that might sound insensitive in english
- gordo (fat), flaco (skinny), negro (black), blanco (white), linda (pretty), bella (beautiful), morena (brown skin), etc.
and like most languages that are not english, spanish has multiple ways of saying i love you.
- “te amo” - romantic
- “te quiero” - familial, platonic (although there’s nothing wrong with using it romantically)
see also:
- te adoro - i adore you
- te deseo - i want you
- te necesito - i need you
and, of course, they can vary regionally too.
please use this because i have read a lot of really well written things that take me out of it because the use of spanglish is terrible. don’t just go on your presumptions that spanish/spanglish works in the same way that english does.
buena suerte, gringos.

“Authors should not be ALLOWED to write about–” you are an anti-intellectual and functionally a conservative
“This book should be taken off of shelves for featuring–” you are an anti-intellectual and functionally a conservative
“Schools shouldn’t teach this book in class because–” you are an anti-intellectual and functionally a conservative
“Nobody actually likes or wants to read classics because they’re–” you are an anti-intellectual and an idiot
“I only read YA fantasy books because every classic novel or work of literary fiction is problematic and features–” you are an anti-intellectual and you are robbing yourself of the full richness of the human experience.
“you are functionally a conservative” is such a good and clarifying insult
Literally right after I saw this post, I saw another post in a discord chat for BOOK EDITORS in which an outspokenly liberal editor talked about how Nabokov should have never been published because he wrote about p*dophiles and described women’s bodies in ways that made her uncomfortable. She described his writing as “objectively terrible” and said she wanted to burn his books. And other editors were bringing up classics they didn’t like and talking about how they wanted to throw them in the trash. This wasn’t like a light “unpopular opinion!” conversation. This was actual book editors talking about how books should be destroyed and censored.
There is something so scary and toxic in global culture right now. The revival of fascism is influencing everyone’s mindset and approach to art, regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum.
I see far more books being censored today than when I was a kid. Librarians handed me The Catcher in the Rye, The Sexual Politics of Meat, and Animal Farm when I was literally 8-11. My mom would never have taken a book away from me. I read everything from the Tao Te Ching to the Qur'an to atheist texts under my desk at school. Teachers thought nothing of it or encouraged it. Books seemed universally acknowledged as sacrosanct to me.
Now I can’t find any adults who don’t hesitate or want to make exceptions when it comes to censorship. Even the most liberal social activist librarians I know go, “well except for book X…”
Functionally conservative. It’s so important to have the language to express that.
Thank you for this addition!
And, following up on the previous post …
“This makes me uncomfortable” is NOT a valid reason for censorship
These fucking book editors should remove themselves from the profession ASAP 😡
The only reason a book should be removed, the ONLY reason, is “we are keeping it in the restricted section for research because its only intended function is to cause harm.”
And to be clear, when I say this, I’m talking about shit like To Train Up A Child and The Protocols of Zion. One is a text responsible for the deaths of multiple children because it’s an abuse how-to, and the other is entirely fabricated “protocols” from a group that never actually existed but is claimed to represent all Jews, and it’s basically one long antisemitic screed.
And even these should be available. Just. Not where they’re gonna be used to start a white supremacist cult.
i don't know why you'd think I'm attracted to any man of the Blight family but I'm not
